Hi there,

I wanted to install openstack tacker, tackerclient and tacker-horizon. Since tacker is not available on Fuel as plugin I tried installing from git. I used the stable/liberty branch and was able to get tacker-server running following this howto:

http://docs.openstack.org/developer/t...

I of course had to install the service on all three controller nodes and also configured haproxy accordingly.

However I am not able to register the default VIM according the howto, since tacker client in version liberty doesnt seem to support vim-register option. my tacker client has only the options vnfd-*

When using tacker vnfd-list I get the following error:

root@node-1:~# tacker vnfd-list
internalURL endpoint for servicevm service in RegionOne region not found

Which makes sense to me since I have an endpoint for nfv but not for servicevm. Has anybody tried getting tacker installed in liberty version ? do I have to define other endpoints?\ or should I just try the mitaka version ?

Thanks in advance, D

Hi,

You are trying to use tacker with odl sfc support? You can take a look at two things:

Both resources depends on custom version of tacker developed here and use these puppet module. Plugin is not ready yet and I would treat it as a source of inspiration ;) most of the problems are connected to installation of custom version of the tacker, if you want to install standard version you can change these lines. Also setting up heat url in tacker configuration is not implemented yet but can be easily adjusted after deployment.
