It is my first time to deploy OPNFV. I do have one Server,so I want to deploy on virtual machine.I decide to have 3 nodes:jumphost & controller & compute(run VM).But i have no idea which i should choose to deploy virtual machine,VMware or Virtualbox? Then i have problems in networking setup.I want to know how i should arrange my network .(In VMware or VIrtualbox).Another problem is how to set the libvirt driver! Thank you!

A couple of things i can comment on:

1st - you can do a Nested (virtualized) setup, that is not a problem - in fact in we use it all the time. The Different installers have different methods. I have circulated a "HowTo" that uses Ubuntu as a Base OS.

You can do the same thing with VMware of course, however with VirtualBox its a bit tricky since it doesnt pass the KVM flag, so you can still deploy (FUEL at least), but you COMPUTE and CONTROLLER VM's will be emulated, not virtualized and this can get slow.

For "setting up your network", you have to be a bit more specific - do you have 1 network card? ..

can you tell me more about your physical host? For example.. I have 1 server, with 2 network cards.. network card 1 is a private network (only my host) and network card 2 is a public network (a /24) that is my route out..

if you can provide more information Im sure i can help (at least with the basic setup until you pick an installer method). For FUEL, you can try this link and see if it helps you. <= this is for FUEL, but you can infer the same method.

Cheers, Daniel
