Use USB to Install Fuel Master

First, I use ultraISO software to make a booting USB device. Then I boot from USB, select the USB Fuel Install. During installing, I was asked to choose the target to install, of course I chose installing to the hard disk, not removable disk. Everything went OK. After installing, it rebooted. But finally, the Fuel Master was installed in the removable dish(my USB device).

Is there anyone facing this problem? I will appreciate you to tell me some resolutions.

Andy

After you have finished instillation remove USB and run command "sudo grub2-install /dev/sda", where sda is the hdd you installed OPNFV fuel onto. For some reason the grub is wrote to the USB I had this same problem.

Hello.

can you please provide some more information about the target HW you are installing on?

So that i understand, why are you bothering to change the .ISO - since its bootable image file and can be used both as a USB Image and DVD image on most HW ILOMs (hence me asking what you are installing to).

Can you tell me as well, on your hardware - what your internal disk structure is?

By default, FUEL will isntall the first DISK found in the list, so i would suggest that you look at the device ordering your in your BIOS and make sure that the disk is the first in the list that you want to install to..

Also - if you dont want to install to removable media, then just remove it- since it will not install to the same disk that you booted from (Unless there is something very different in what you are doing).

Some other information that is helpful.

version you are installing? Did you build this yourself or grab it from the opnfv artifacts site? Some screen shots of the steps you are doing?

Cheers, D
