Hi, I deployed Opendaylight Beryllium through OPNFV Brahmaputra release successfully. After successful deployment, I went to Openstack Controller machine, and executed the below commands:

I am able to run './karaf' process and able to get karaf prompt: root@node-3:/opt/opendaylight/bin# ./karaf OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM warning: ignoring option MaxPermSize=512m; support was removed in 8.0

Hit '<tab>' for a list of available commands and '[cmd] --help' for help on a specific command. Hit '<ctrl-d>' or type 'system:shutdown' or 'logout' to shutdown OpenDaylight.

And also able to see opendaylight process running using the below command: root@node-3:~# ps -ef | grep openday root 1028 17813 31 15:41 pts/1 00:03:00 /usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64//bin/java -Djava.security.properties=/opt/opendaylight/etc/odl.java.security -server -Xms128M -Xmx2048m -XX:+UnlockDiagnosticVMOptions -XX:+UnsyncloadClass -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote -Djava.endorsed.dirs=/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64//jre/lib/endorsed:/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64//lib/endorsed:/opt/opendaylight/lib/endorsed -Djava.ext.dirs=/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64//jre/lib/ext:/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64//lib/ext:/opt/opendaylight/lib/ext -Dkaraf.instances=/opt/opendaylight/instances -Dkaraf.home=/opt/opendaylight -Dkaraf.base=/opt/opendaylight -Dkaraf.data=/opt opendaylight/data -Dkaraf.etc=/opt/opendaylight/etc -Djava.io.tmpdir=/opt/opendaylight/data/tmp -Djava.util.logging.config.file=/opt/opendaylight/etc/java.util.logging.properties -Dkaraf.startLocalConsole=true -Dkaraf.startRemoteShell=true -classpath /opt/opendaylight/lib/karaf-jaas-boot.jar:/opt/opendaylight/lib/karaf-jmx-boot.jar:/opt/opendaylight/lib/karaf-org.osgi.core.jar:/opt/opendaylight/lib/karaf.branding-1.2.0-Beryllium.jar:/opt/opendaylight/lib/karaf.jar org.apache.karaf.main.Main root 5552 3440 0 15:50 pts/3 00:00:00 grep --color=auto openday

I am able to access DLUX gui through the URL: http://<local_ip>:8181/index.html But, I am unable to login with the credentials admin/admin. When I click on 'login' button, it is popping up a window saying "Authentication Required: The server requires username and password"

Can anyone point me the actual issue.

Regards, Srikanth.

hello. can you please confirm you dont have two of the ODl's running?

Following a deployment you shouldnt have to start the ODL - it will autostart - so perhaps starting a second one (also - can yo uensure you have set the JAVAHOME and JAVAENV variables in your shell correctly when you started it from the command line?).

i just tested a B-release deployment this morning and following deployment the ODL is up and running. Can you check as well that you didnt start swift? There could be port conflict between the two - but since you have the GUI listening, i dont think that is your issue.

Hi,Only one ODL process is running. When I execute the below command, it is showing only one ODL process. #> ps -ef | grep opendaylight After successful deployment,ODL is auto started. But, br-int's not created on either nodes. So, I killed default one and started ./karaf, which in turn started ODL.

From that time on wards, whenever I rebooted OS Controller node, ODL is not staring by default. Every time, I had to start ./karaf process manually. And also, while starting ./karaf, I set JAVAHOME, but not JAVAENV. To which value, I need to set JAVAENV variable?

hello. I think that your issue is cause Br-int is not created, that should have been created when you selected the OPENDAYLIGHT CONTROLLER role on your Controller (or other node) when you deployed. I would suspect there is an issue with your topology. Can you send a screen of your Conigure Nodes?

from the FUEL UI - so we can see how you have the networking setup. You will probably need to redeploy cause it means something is wrong. can you confirm that you selected VXLAN? VLAN w/ ODL is not supportted.

Hi, I re-deployed the environment, and now I am able login to to ODL Dlux. But, after deploying, OS Controller machine is crashed and went offline. When I rebooted, everything started normally w.r.t Openstack and ODL. But, Deployment went into ERROR state. With the current deployment, I am able launch cirros VM and got IP address from ODL. Anyways, this is different issue. But, for the time being OS deployment is fine.

Regards, Srikanth.
