Multi-NICs to install OPNFV with Fuel

Hello all, I am a student who just started studying OpenStack and OPNFV, and related software.

I come up with some questions during installation.

In the installation guide, the jump server should have at least two NICs, for Fuel Admin Network and Public Network. Does this mean two physical NICs is essential to install? or is there another way to install with just one NIC (VLAN, etc)?

My questions could be stupid, but I will be very happy if I get the answer in detail.

Thanks

Hi,

It is possible to have one NIC on fuel master. You should remember that admin network is used for PXE booting of slave nodes, so if you plan to do vlan segmentation on one nic there should be default/native vlan where untagged packets goes. BTW if you setup local mirrors on fuel master you will no longer need have access to internet. How to do that you will find in installation guide for Arno
