hey there.. this is a bit older thread now (but im just back from vacation :P)..

some things to check / send: - did you run the before you clicked DEPLOY of your environment? - Did you run the verify networks (in the Network Tab of the Environment Configuration Page on the FUEL UI) and all was "green" prior to performing a deploy? - can you also send the puppet-apply.log from the FUEL node when you are doing your deploy?

Cheers, D

Hi, I'm reading and wonder if this problem was resolved? I got the same issue, let me explain: I'm deploying Arnos using FUEL in a virtualized environment, I'm using a Dell Laptop with i7 processor and 8Gb ram, Windows 8 64-bit and virtualbox. I use the FUEL scrip to deploy the nodes and run the before clicked Deploy on my environment. I also ran the network test and all was green. After the deployment starts approximately at 40% the Controller node fails when says Installing Openstack, the other 2 nodes successfully install Ubuntu (also tried with Centos with the same error) but the Controlloer node goes red and the installation stops. Do you know anyone having a similar problem? It is ok to use the Fuel scrip to deploy my environment or should I manually setup the nodes? I set all the nodes to have 2Gb of ram.

Hello.. Same questions - can you give some info. HA or SA deployment? You have a valid NTP server and GW on your public network (if you are running in HA) otherwise the sync wont work and your controllers wont come up. Can you send some output as outlned in this thread - to see fuel puppet log

Speaking in legal language, unemployed people loan are people without a permanent place of work and are not officially employed. That is, a person falls into the category of unemployed, even in fact having a source of income, but not officially confirmed.

I got the same error of controller node failure while installing openstack. I am using Fuel deployment with Multi node set up (No HA) with one controller node and 1 compute node.

I ran the pre deployment script and verify networks was green in web. I have the log files from fuel with me. Kindly let me know how do i share it with you as i am not able to attach here.

My set up configurations:

Fuel master- VM (i5, 3.10 GHz, 8GB RAM), 2 Physical NIC (1 NIC internet access and the other for fuel networks). Controller node - VM in a different machine(i5, 3.10Ghz, 8GB RAM), 1 NIC (All networks with VLAN tagging) Compute node - Physical machine (1.8 GHz, 32GB RAM), 1 NIC (All networks with VLAN tagging).

Few Additional Information: I have internet connectivity only to my fuel master. Controller node and compute node does not have any internet connectivity. I have all the networks with VLAN in one of the interface (for compute and controller nodes).

Thanks in advance!!!

Hello - if you are using SR1 of ARNO, you dont need connectivity, can you tell me if you are using SR1 now that it is out? Can you confirm that NTP is accessible through all nodes? Can you confirm you have added the local mirrors into the Settings of your environment prior to deployment?

I would make sure you are using the latest SR1 build and II and that you have followed it correctly, the II is outlined (with requirements) in the site. Take a look and let me know.
