Hi,

I have a functional installation of opnfv bramaputra 1.0 through fuel working on 4 nodes, with

2 nodes as Controller + Storage - Ceph OSD, 1 node as Controller + Telemetry - MongoDB + OpenDaylight, and 1 node as Compute + Storage - Ceph OSD

I would like to have a data processing module, the Sahara component of openstack (in order to use spark/storm plugin).

I've tried to deploy opnfv enabling Sahara on fuel interface along with opendaylight plugin, but the deployment was unsuccessful, resulting in a 'method granular deploy' error.

Although it was possible to deploy it without odl, there were several health check errors that seems to invalidade it as a operational environment.

Is it currently available to activate the openstack component Sahara along with the installation of opnfv? (Settings>Openstack Services> Install Sahara).

Has anyone ever tried to install it? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Igor

Hello Igor.

This is an interesting case. In the CI we use a odl-nofeature scenario, however im not sure if there is a baremetal-odl-allfeature scneario that exists and tests this.

My suggestion would be to open a JIRA Bug in FUEL@OPNFV on this and be include the following:

  • the version of OPNFV (ISO file) you are using for installation
  • for ODL plugin are you using what comes in the ISO or insalling your own on FUEL.
  • output of "fuel env" (or the yaml file of the environment you are deploying).
  • Layout of roles/nodes - perhaps there is a port conflict with Sahara and ODL that we dont know about or something (very good to catch if this is the case! :) ).

From there, we can have a look - i would think a simple test would be to take your info, write a CI test scenario and have it run through the pipeline and verify that the combination installs and deploys and/or verifies your findings and we can see about correction.

Cheers, Daniel
